Light Conversion was founded in 1994 as a spin-off from Vilnius University and today is a major company for laser technology in the ultrashort pulse range with over 300 employees and more than 4500 systems installed worldwide. Light Conversion develops and manufactures ultrashort pulse lasers, optical parametric amplifiers (OPAs) and oscillators (OPOs), non-collinear optical parametric amplification systems with stretched pulses (OPCPAs) for industrial, scientific and medical applications as well as laser spectroscopy systems.
The well-known fs laser models PHAROS and CARBIDE are used successfully in basic research as well as in micro-material processing in science and industry (24/7). Laser output powers of up to 80 W and pulse energies of up to 2 mJ can be achieved in the femtosecond range.
HARPIA - is a turnkey solution from Light Conversion for femtosecond and nanosecond pump-probe spectroscopy and microscopy systems while the well-known TOPAS and ORPHEUS product lines cover around 80% of the global market for optical parametric amplifiers.
